In 2015 we were contracted by UNDP to conduct training on ecosystem based DRR for district and national level policy makers for ecosystem-based adaptation in the mt. Elgon ecosystem in Uganda. The training aimed at equipping policy makers at District and National levels with the necessary knowledge and skills to be able to integrate EbA-DRR into the planning frameworks at both local and National levels. We helped District and National level policy makers and other stakeholders to understand the opportunities, gaps and entry points to advocate and integrate Ecosystem Based DRR in their respective sectors.
