Overview

Protocol involves etiquette on a local and international scale, and the practice of good manners in work environments. Today, it is particularly important because it not only covers the ceremonial rules that are followed during official functions and how to behave on these special occasions, but it also provides a set of established rules of courteousness that are to be respected in society.
This course introduces participants to the aspect of protocol procedures, behavior of etiquette, rules of courteousness in society, and respect for precedence. It will help participants to the challenges and complexities of modern protocol management and teach all the basics of international protocol and etiquette, and the management of high-level events.
Course Objectives
By the end of the training participants will be able to;

  • Become proficient in preparing meetings with dignitaries and become an advisor for colleagues.
  • Providing assistance and advice to government officials on international travel and correspondence
  • Gain valid insights into the importance of showing respect for other cultures
  • Prepare invitations for various events and different levels of formality including notes of acceptance and decline for events
  • Use correct titles and forms of address in different contexts.
  • Plan and prepare for hosting important events and meeting dignitaries and their organizations, with confidence.
  • React in an appropriate and proactive manner to arising protocol-related questions and issues.
