The overall aim of this course is to provide institutional Records Managers and other Information professionals with skills and practical advice on how to manage records and other institutional documents. This course will assist public and private sector organizations to define their requirements for Electronic Document and Records Management, choose the appropriate (EDRM) solution that is appropriate to the institution’s requirements. 

Course objectives 

  • To introduce participants to electronic records management (ERM) principles and tools
  • To design and implement an electronic records management system in line with the organization’s operations
  • To stimulate thinking about current filing practices
  • To design an electronic records management system in line with the organizational requirements
