Course Overview

This program is designed to help administrative professionals clearly understand and be able to apply the advanced IT application to various office tasks and procedures. The program includes general knowledge of the operating systems, the Internet, network connections and general computer applications. Participants will also learn accounting and cash management software and related principles. Participants will gain proficiency of advanced features of MS Office packages such as Excel, PowerPoint, Access, SharePoint, One Note, websites and other software applications for modern office environments. 

At the end of the training participants should be able to;

  • Understand  the advanced features of Microsoft Office, Windows basics, and file management
  • Understand how to integrate computers to facilitate Office Systems and Procedures
  • Explore issues such as protection from viruses, spyware and adware; data backup and recovery; organiz­ing your files; connecting to the Internet; setting up a home network
  • Apply advanced features of Excel to design and create accurate, professional worksheets for use in the office
  • Customize Windows interface; installing/uninstalling software; speeding up operating systems.
  • Develop familiarity with the web design process. Includes basic web terminology, uploading pages to a server (FTP), and optimizing graphics
  • Clearly understand basic features of Microsoft Access and database management concepts including tables, forms, reports, queries, and basic macros.
  • Be able to store data and apply various forms of security and appreciate the concept of cloud computing
