This course will introduce participants to the basic framework for Policy Formulation, Analysis and Implementation. The course will draw basis from economics of competition and distribution concerns, examining causes of market and government failures. It will analyze different situations where the market system fails to achieve the socially desired outcome, and where policy makers intervene to improve on the market outcome. The course will also analyze how effectively public policy has been formulated, examine the challenges and draw conclusions on the way forward.
